Skinner Chuck Co No. 908-1 8 inch 4 jaw chuck for machinist or jewelers lathe. Condition is as photographed with wear as to be expected from age and use such as scuffs, dings, scratches, dirt, dust, etc etc. Looks like a possible repair to one of the jaws. Vintage Lathe Knurling Tool. Missing it’s knurls. This was from a Machinists / Gunsmiths / Woodworkers Workshop but can be used for an array of styles of craftsman. It has a type of parallel jaws that come apart and can be changed around to fit various angles and sizes. There are also lots of other clamping capabilities and configurations this tool can accomplish. It is approximately 6.5″ long and anywhere from 1/4″ to 1/2 thick steel depending on the section your looking at. The front is about 3″ to 4″ wide and able to increase or decrease in size. As far as condition its in excellent shape, No broken parts, cross threads or frozen moving parts. There is some use, age and storage wear, marks, scuffs and small rust spots, but no pitting noted in the steel. Overall a very unique tool with many capabilities, uses, and functions! This vintage, small drill press is in good overall condition showing normal use and age. It appears this was once owned and used by the Bulova Watch Co. I plugged the unit in and the motor does not appear to be running it just hums. Refer to photos for exact condition details.
