Quality build with double rotating brass sleeve oilers and brass bearing cuffs. The headstock spins freely and is well lubricated. The drive wheels are for V belts. The threads are 9tpi and the shaft diameter is about 1-3/16 with a thread depth of about 1-3/32. The V channels grooves on the bottom plate are 4.5 apart on center. Fresh out of an old estate. It was converted to electric motor and woodworking , has a newer tool rest. Fresh estate shop find. The legs have repairs and one of the feet is replaced as seen in the picture. Someone welded steel to the leg pads on each one in order to bolt it down to the floor. A good welder/metal worker should be able to restore these legs readily. The rest of the machine is in nice shape and includes the jackshaft pulley set with it. Refer to pictures for condition. Bed is 48 long overall… Lathe weighs approximately 350 pounds… Everything heavy cast iron. Pictures are a major part of the description….. Please review them closely on a good size screen. But it varies so much in cost I usually offer it as my second option in the listing. Most items are vintage and previously used unless noted and thus will not be in perfect, new condition.
